ForSale.direct is a free for-sale-by-owner listing board. Owners may post properties free; buyers may search and contact sellers free. We provide the board — we are not a party to any sale, and we do not collect commissions, hold earnest money, or guarantee any listing, buyer, or transaction. As our FAQ puts it: you're responsible for your own due diligence — get an inspection, a title search, and an attorney for the paperwork on major purchases.
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password to yourself. Give a working email — that is how buyers' messages reach you.
List only property you (or your business) own and are selling yourself. Listings posted on behalf of someone else's property — where you'd be paid a commission — don't belong here. Keep prices and details honest and current, and mark a listing sold or take it down when it sells. No scams, no bait pricing, no listings for property that does not exist. We may remove listings or accounts that break these rules.
Listings must comply with fair housing law. We will remove discriminatory listings.
